Dr. Hanan El Basha
Co-Founder & CEO
Dr. Hanan El Basha is the Co-Founder & CEO, Chief Operating Officer, of The Global Businesswomen (GBW).
She is also Founder of The Business Doctor, a boutique business growth advisory firm headquartered in London, UK. She is an Empowering Business Strategist supporting women entrepreneurs and SME business owners revive and solidify their entrepreneurial spirit and mindset utilizing practical business & wellness strategies.
Dr. Hanan has approximately 25 years of professional experience, most of which spent within small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) including 11+ co-founding and running startups herself. She also serves as the Co-Director of the Founder Institute – Qatar & GCC-Silicon Valley Chapters, the world's largest pre-seed startup accelerator, Senator for Egypt with the World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF), and as an Advisor with Loyal VC. Dr. Hanan is a holder of a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) in International Business specializing in “Internationalization for the Sustainable Growth of SMEs” and an MBA in Marketing as well as being an Accredited SME Consultant.
She is also the Founder & Host of Empowered to Grow podcast after being dubbed “Dr. Feel Good” and even the “Oprah of the Middle East” following tens of appearances on webinar and podcast discussions talking about topics that constitute her mission: empowering women in business, startups and SMEs, sustainable growth, entrepreneurial mindset, and wellness. Further, inspired from her own healing journey, she is passionate and dedicated to the topic of (entrepreneurial) health and wellness built on learnings from her certifications as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and a Metabolic Balance Coach and her implementations of the concepts thereafter.
Dr. Rana Sabra
Co-Founder & CMO
Dr. Rana Sabra is the Co-Founder & CMO, Chief Marketing Officer, of The Global Businesswomen (GBW). Rana is a result-focused business strategist, global speaker, success coach, mother, and university professor dedicated to helping women entrepreneurs start, grow, and scale their dreams.
For over two decades, Rana has worked with more than 3,000 entrepreneurs, executives, and students on building and scaling their ideas. As an international speaker, business strategist, and published academic researcher, she brings hands-on marketing experience in myriad industries, including higher education, NGOs, microfinancing, health and beauty, franchising, advertising/media, food and beverage, and hospitality. Rana has created a tested-framework for growing and scaling service businesses.
With a Doctorate in Business Administration and creating a modern decision-making model for higher education, Rana is an avid student and arms herself with the most up-to-date and proven business methods. She recently earned a postgraduate diploma in Digital Business Transformation jointly offered by Columbia Business School and MIT.
With hopes to be known for bringing a level of sparkle to entrepreneurship and teaching women to achieve their dreams, Rana believes you can, should, and will have it all. That begins with developing confidence and backing it with a plan to move toward your dreams.
Behind the scenes, Rana is a working mom raising her two daughters in a culturally diverse environment in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Asmaa Alkuwari is the Co-Founder & COO, Chief Operational Officer, of The Global Businesswomen (GBW).
She is an Executive Women Coach Certified from the International Coaching Federation (ICF), an Embodiment Coach certified from The Somatic School from UK, A Digital Humanist with a master’s degree for Digital Humanities and Societies from Hamad bin Khalifa University (HBKU), as well as an entrepreneur and Marketeer.
Asmaa is also the founder of Asmaa Consultancy, a boutique consultancy for Executives. Her purpose is to empower female executives to truly unlock their potential and become the best version of themselves.
Being a big advocate of women empowerment, Asmaa has also created a program called "Juthoor" which means roots. This program supports women to reconnect to their roots of self and discover who they truly are (mind, body and soul). Along with two other co-founders, Asmaa was able to tap into supporting women to rebirth a newer version truer to who they are, and leave the program with the right tools that equip them to continue life with the new version of themselves.
Being the first Qatari to hold the position of the President of the International Coaching Federation Chapter in Qatar, Asmaa has made it her duty to truly spread awareness of professional coaching in Qatar and the region, and to encourage the profession of coaching with individuals and corporates especially with supporting locals in becoming part of a professional coaching entity.
Her Podcast "The Sky is the limit", launched in 2019, tackles issues that her clients go through with small steps on how to overcome them, such as procrastination, fear, motivation, and much more, available on iPodcast and Soundcloud.
